Meet the Maker

“The best way to get things DONE is to begin!”

For a long time, I’ve been dreaming and planning of starting my own blog. I was so intimidated because I had absolutely no idea on how to do it. Some maker friends kept pushing me to just do it so here I am now, writing my very first blog post.

My name is Elisa, the maker behind STRINGS AND CUDDLES. I’m a Filipina and I moved to the US in 2014 to be with the love of my life. This big move changed my life big time! This also allowed me to cultivate and develop my hidden skills. As a stay-at-home wife/mom, I just need to do something, so I don’t feel so bored and homesick.

Crafting plays a big role in my life. I started learning how to crochet, make cards, loom knit and we even bought a candle and soap making kit, haha! But I fell in love with yarns and that made me learn to crochet even more and then knitting. I am also into Cricut related projects. Well, any DIY projects or new crafts, count me in!

I also want to say that I have the most loving, giving and supportive husband in the whole world! He is my partner and my number one fan in my Maker journey! Of course, I’m also thankful for all the online video tutorials! They make learning more fun and easier!

I am not sure where this blogging thing will lead me to, but what I know and want to do is to share with you all my love for crafting and my designs. My goal is for us all to learn, grow and interact with one another!
